Overview

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SOLID PU 216 is used as a top coat protective matte paint on epoxy coatings where UV resistance is required, semi-hard and hard polyurethane coating systems, and wood and concrete surfaces where a matte appearance is required.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The ambient temperature should be between +5°C and 35°C. Application should not be made in cases where the relative humidity exceeds 80%. In order to avoid surface condensation, the surface temperature should be at least 3-5°C above the dew point.

It should be known that the consumption will increase in the application to be made in windy weather. The surface temperature should be minimum -5°C and maximum 45°C.

PACKAGING

A bucket of SOLID PU 216 Component A is 17.00  kg’.
One gallon of SOLID PU 216 Hardener B Component is 3.00 kg net.

SHELF LIFE
The material should be stored in a cool and dry place in its original packaging. Storage life of material in unopened packaging 12 months for A and B components.

HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Read the MSDS form (Material Safety Data Sheet) for necessary safety rules and warnings. The minimum safety rules to be followed are as follows.
•    The contact of the paint with the skin and eyes should be prevented by using gloves, protective glasses, face mask, and industrial cream.
•    Adequate air circulation should be provided during the application and until the paint dries.
•    If the paint comes into contact with the skin, it should be washed with warm water and soap or an industrial cleaner. If it has splashed into the eyes, it should be rinsed with water for at least 10 minutes and medical attention should be sought.
•    Because these types of materials contain flammable components, sparks and naked flames should be avoided. Smoking should not be allowed in the area.
•    All warning notes on buckets should be read carefully and recommended working rules should be followed.

Usage Areas

SOLID PU 216  Two-component, solvent-based acrylic polyurethane protective matte paint

SOLID PU 216 If the application ambient and surface temperature is below +10 °C or above +30 °C, the application should not be done.
Application should be avoided in rainy and windy weather.
After the completion of painting, it should be protected under water contact for at least 24 hours.
Relative humidity should not exceed 70% during application. When the surface to be painted is scanned vertically and crosswise, a monolithic coating is visible without any trace of the roller. will be obtained.

Application Information

Surface Preparation
The application surface is carefully cleaned of dirt, oil and grease. Loose old paint (on previously painted, surfaces) is removed. Surface rust and flaps, SA 2 ½ clean with a diamond fly machine according to the norms nir.The drill is done with a brush, roller or gun. Masks should be used in exercises performed by spraying. Very good ventilation is required, especially in small, confined spaces.

Usage of the Product
SOLID PU 216, its components are thoroughly mixed before use. Then a homogeneous mixture is made with its own hardener. If necessary, it can be thinned with SOLID6561 Epoxy thinner. It is applied only to a dry and clean surface with a temperature above the spindle point to prevent condensation. Paint temperature should be 20-35°C. Thinning may be required on very long spray hoses and paint temperatures lower than 15°C. This can lead to lower film thickness and longer drying times.

The application is done with a brush, roller or gun. Masks should be used in exercises performed by spraying. Very good ventilation should be done especially in small and closed places.
