SOLID PAINT PRIMER

Overview

SOLID PAINT PRIMER is a two-component, reaction-drying, solvent-based epoxy primer.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The ambient temperature should be between 5°C and 35°C. Application should not be made in cases where the relative humidity exceeds 80%. To avoid surface condensation, the surface temperature should be at least 3-5°C above the dew point.

It should be known that the consumption will increase in the application to be made in windy weather. The surface temperature should be minimum 5°C and maximum 45°C.

PACKAGING

A bucket of PAINT PRIMER Base A Component is 15 kg net.
A bucket of PAINT PRIMER Hardener B Component is 15 kg net.

RAF ÖMRÜ
The material should be stored in a cool and dry place in its original packaging. Storage life of material in unopened packaging 12 months for A and B components.

HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
Read the MSDS form (Material Safety Data Sheet) for necessary safety rules and warnings. The minimum safety rules to be followed are as follows.
•    The contact of the primer with the skin and eyes should be prevented by using gloves, protective glasses, face mask, and industrial cream.
•    Adequate air circulation should be provided during the application and until the paint dries.
•    If the primer   comes into contact with the skin, it should be washed with warm water and soap or an industrial cleaner. If it has splashed into the eyes, it should be rinsed with water for at least 10 minutes and medical attention should be sought.
•    Because these types of materials contain flammable components, sparks and naked flames should be avoided. Smoking should not be allowed in the area.
•    All warning notes on buckets should be read carefully and recommended working rules should be followed.

SOLID PAINT PRIMER

Usage Areas

SOLID Paint Primer provides excellent corrosion resistance to metal surfaces by being used in places subject to atmospheric corrosion. Its excellent adhesion, high resistance to abrasion and friction, and being resistant to mineral oils are its typical features.
•    As a floor covering in the volumes without heavy traffic of industrial facilities where floor dust affects production,
•    It is used in petrochemical and other industrial establishments.

In addition, it has excellent resistance to many chemicals. Since there will not be any abrasion on the surface due to chemical substances, its resistance to corrosion has been increased.

Application Information

Surface Preparation
In order to protect the surfaces appropriately, the coating must adhere to the surface very well. In order to ensure full adhesion, attention should be paid to the surface preparation. The success of the exercise to be made on a poorly prepared surface is also it becomes suspicious from the beginning. Metal, steel and iron surfaces should be cleaned with an appropriate mechanical treatment. A successful result For this, the surface must be completely purified from oil, grease and similar substances. Cleaning with solvents is generally successful. does not give. The surest way is to scrape, sandblast or catch fire. Concrete surfaces must be prepared for the application. Cement stains and spatter on concrete are less durable. These need to be cleaned. The same situation is valid for concrete with less water. Mechanical strength of old concrete should be checked. Before applying to concrete surfaces, attention should be paid to the cleaning of old paints, the dryness of the concrete and the completion of its chemical reaction. After the surface is prepared and cleaned, it is passed to priming. The purpose of this is to prepare a good ground for the second floor by filling the capillary cracks and pores in the concrete.
Best method for cleaning metal surfaces SA 2 ½ It is sandblasting done according to the norms. The surface cleaned in this way is made ready for the priming process. 4–6 hours should be waited between coats while applying the primer, intermediate coat and topcoat. Priming should be done with  Epoxy Primer (PAINT PRIMER) series.
Use of the Product
Before using the material, it is mixed thoroughly with a mechanical mixer, separately and then together, and then a homogeneous mixture is made with its own hardener. The application is applied with a brush, roller or special gun. It is necessary to provide good ventilation before and after coating, especially when applied in small and closed places. Vapors are heavier than air. It should be applied to dry surfaces at temperatures above 5°C. Care is taken to ensure that the paint temperature is not less than a minimum of 20°C. After the prepared mixture is rested for 10-15 minutes, it is applied.
